Marianne Engebretsen

Marianne Engebretsen is a Norwegian artist, songwriter, and producer whose cinematic alt-pop pushes creative boundaries. Growing up on Norway’s west coast, surrounded by the ocean and ever-changing landscapes, she developed a soaring, tender voice that is unforgettable.

Marianne first gained public attention as a semifinalist on The Voice Norway (2015), with her blind audition song “Magic” reaching Norway’s Top 50 on Spotify. Since then, she has released critically acclaimed albums (Redefined, 2017; Something New, 2022), performed at sold-out concerts in Oslo, had her music featured in the Norwegian blockbuster Nordsjøen (2021), and received a Government Grant for Artists (2022).

Her upcoming single, A Normal After This (October 2025), marks a new chapter in her music: “I never imagined that moving from my city home back to where I grew up would feel so defining. I know who I am, yet suddenly everything had to be reshaped. This song captures that transition and the emotions it brought.”
